A granular synthesis instrument and effect. Load any audio, break it into thousands of short grains, and reshape them into pads, drones, textures, rhythms, and sound effects.

Grainsmith comes in two editions:

• Grainsmith is the desktop plugin for macOS and Windows, in VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats. Two layers, a spectral synth per layer, reverb, delay, compression, and a modulation matrix.
• Grainsmith Field is the iPad and iPhone app, built for touch. Four XY performance pads over the same granular engine.
