The back panel¶
Use BACK on the face to open the back panel. Its title reads the fiddly bits. FRONT returns to the face. Which side is showing is not saved in presets or sessions. A new copy of Bent Spool always opens on the face.
The back panel holds the settings for each mode, the WEAR recipe, LEVEL and the CHAOS seed. Controls for every mode are always shown. Each one only affects its own mode. The preset stepper stays along the top.
TREM¶

LOOPS¶

| RATE (fifth knob) | 0.25x to 8x, 1x at noon | Speed of the voice motion. Only active in LOOPS. The label shows the multiplier, such as RATE ยท 1x. |
| VOICES | 1 to 6, 6 | Number of loop voices, a slider with six dots. |
| ROUTING | STEREO or MONO, STEREO | Click the left half for STEREO and the right half for MONO. |
| MOTION | CLASSIC or LFO, CLASSIC | Click the left half for CLASSIC and the right half for LFO. |

WEAR¶
Four vertical paddles set the recipe that the WEAR knob on the face blends. Each runs 0 to 100% and starts at 50%.

Drag a paddle up or down. It moves relative to where it is, so touching it does not make it jump. Hold Shift or Control for a finer move. See WEAR.
Output and seed¶

Settings with no control¶
A few settings are in the host's parameter list, and in presets and saved sessions, but have no knob or button on either panel: the input gate, REPEAT's stereo option, Save Frozen Audio and the legacy echo engine. See Parameters.
